We’ve previously explored why Japan as a society is very different to the rest of us. Yet our fascination with these cultural differences is not abated. In fact, Evangeline Neo, a comic artist who studied in Tokyo, Japan from 2010 to 2014, was similarly taken up by her own explorations of the country and subsequent culture shock.
During her time in Japan, she noticed many differences from other countries and decided to portray her experiences through a comicseries called Evacomics. Her depictions have been spread across two books under the names, “Eva, Kopi and Matcha” and “Eva, Kopi and Matcha 2.0” which are available on ebook platforms and Amazon.
