If you usually spend a good chunk of your day online, you probably remember the “distracted boyfriend” meme that went viral a few years back. The meme template spawned thousands of hilarious memes and is still widely used today. Recently, Swiss artist Damien, aka Unfins, decided to give the meme an unexpected twist by turning it into a funny comic.
This is not the first time the artist had done an “interpretation” of a meme. Back in December of last year, he created a 4-part comic inspired by the “woman yelling at cat” meme that went viral all over the internet. In an interview with Bored Panda, Damien said that it was the last comic’s success that inspired him to create the “distracted boyfriend” comic.

The artist was blown away by the number of people that like and shared his first comic and feels very thankful. Damien currently has over 232k Instagram followers that eagerly wait for his latest works.
Damien’s take on the meme gives it a funny, unexpected ending none of us have seen coming.
The original “distracted boyfriend” photo was taken by photographer Antonio Guillem back in 2015 and went viral sometime in 2017.
