Mattel, the same company that gave us Barbie, has just released a line of gender-neutral dolls, breaking the outdated “dolls are for girls” stereotype. Kim Culmone, the Senior Vice President of Mattel Fashion Doll Design says that toys are a reflection of culture and as the world continues to celebrate the positive impact of inclusivity, the company felt it was time to create a doll line that was free of labels.

“Versatility and variety that give kids the freedom to create their own customizable characters again and again!” says the doll’s description.

The dolls not only come with all sorts of clothes, including dresses, pants, and skirts, short and long-haired wigs and also come in a variety of skin tones.

Millennial parents have been fighting gender stereotypes in toys for quite a while now. Girls wanting to play with toy trucks shouldn’t be seen as something weird and neither should be boys who wish to play with dolls. After all, they’re kids – they don’t care about stereotypes as long as they’re having fun.

The company describes the new toys as “A doll line designed to keep labels out and invite everyone in” are selling them for $29.99 per playset.
